Best Practices & Tips

Keep these in mind to get the most out of Cobi’s /sniff and /cobi commands:

🔍 Sniffing Tokens

  • Always use a contract address (e.g. 0x…) when possible. Symbols can be ambiguous.

  • Check Top 10 Holders first — anything above 50 % total could be a red flag.

  • Mind the Taxes: buy/sell fees > 5 % can trap funds.

  • Interpret Risk Flags in context: one “❌” may not kill a project, but several together are a bad sign.

  • Combine with on‑chain explorers (Etherscan/BaseScan/Solscan) for deeper dives: view contract code, token transfers, liquidity pools.

🐶 Using /cobi

  • Cool, casual support: ask Cobi for definitions, quick tutorials, chart tips, Base‑chain lore, etc.

  • Keep it concise: short questions get faster, clearer answers.

  • Respect the cooldown (5 s) — avoid flooding.

  • Text with ["what", "who", "when", "where", "how", "why"] will activate Cobi's 'Smart' mode and he will try and reply with the most up to date information he has to date using Google's Gemini API.

📈 Interpreting Market Data

  • Price vs. Market Cap: a low price doesn’t always mean “cheap.” Market Cap = price × circulating supply.

  • Liquidity tells you how easy it is to buy/sell without slippage. More is better.

  • FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation): theoretical market cap if all tokens minted — watch for huge gaps vs. current MC.

🛡️ General Safety Tips

  • Never chase “hot” memecoins— let others test the waters first.

  • Verify owner renouncement and contract audit status before big buys.

  • Beware zero‑tax “honeypots”; a token that blocks sales will look risk‑flagged.

  • Don’t ignore small warning signs (e.g. “Can Mint” or “Proxy Contract”) — they can cascade into bigger issues.

🛠️ Workflow Tips

  • Use groups & watchlists: add Cobi to your TG group and pin /sniff usage.

  • Automate alerts: schedule periodic /sniff on new launches or top picks.

  • Document findings: screenshot or copy your /sniff output into a journal for later reference.

🎯 Remember: tools like Cobi help speed your research, but always DYOR and cross‑check before committing real funds!
